About This Exam
Follow-up obstetrical ultrasound (CPT 76816) for the second or third trimester. Evaluates fetal growth, presentation, amniotic fluid volume, and placental position. Used to track progress and identify potential concerns.
Preparation Instructions
- 126 weeks or more: No special preparation required
- 2Earlier than 26 weeks: Drink 16 oz of water one hour before the exam
