Pricing Questions, Answered
How much is an ultrasound without insurance in Maryland?
Self-pay ultrasound screenings at Ultra Stat Mobile Imaging start at $150, with most studies clearly priced for both in-office and mobile visits. No insurance is required and there is no surprise balance bill — you see the full price before you book, and a $50 deposit reserves your appointment.
Do I need insurance to book an ultrasound?
No. Ultra Stat Mobile Imaging is a self-pay practice. You pay one clear price at the time of service — there is no insurance claim, no surprise balance bill, and no waiting on prior authorization.
Can I use my FSA or HSA card?
Yes. We accept FSA and HSA cards along with all major credit cards. Your appointment receipt itemizes the service and CPT code so you can submit it to your plan for possible reimbursement.
Is a doctor’s referral required?
Preventative screening ultrasounds require no referral — you can book them directly online. Diagnostic studies (for example, a study ordered to investigate a specific symptom) require a physician’s order, which you can upload during booking or have faxed to us.
What does the price include?
Your price includes the scan performed by a board-certified RDMS/RVT sonographer and a formal interpretation. A $50 deposit is collected online to reserve your appointment and is applied toward your total.
Why is the mobile price higher?
Mobile visits include travel to your home, office, or facility anywhere within our service area. The added amount covers the sonographer’s travel and on-site setup so you can be scanned without leaving home.
